SENKOs SI-200A sets a new benchmark in toxic gas detection, especially for adsorption-sensitive gases, outperforming traditional detectors with its innovative design.

SI-200A: Intrinsically Safe Fixed Gas Detector for High-Precision Detection

The SI-200A is SENKOs intrinsically safe (Ex ia) fixed gas detector engineered for superior performance in detecting toxic gases such as HCl, NH, and Cl₂—gases that typically suffer from adsorption delays in conventional flameproof (Ex d) detectors.

Thanks to its optimized design, the SI-200A overcomes this limitation, delivering faster, more accurate readings and ensuring reliable detection in critical environments.

Proven Through Controlled Testing

To validate its performance, SENKO conducted comparative tests using NH, Cl, and HCl gases.

Test Protocol: Each gas was introduced for 5 minutes, followed by a 5-minute recovery period.

Results:

  • HCl: SI-200A demonstrated consistent and immediate detection.

  • NH: Accurately tracked concentration levels.

  • Cl: Delivered rapid and precise readings.

Key Advantages of the SI-200A

  • Intrinsically safe (Ex ia) design

  • Exceptional accuracy for adsorption-sensitive gases

  • Fast response time and superior sensor precision

  • Ideal for environments handling HCl, NH, Cl, and other toxic gases

Recommended Applications

  • Perfect for industries such as oil & gas, semiconductors, chemical processing, and wastewater treatmentany setting that demands precise and reliable toxic gas monitoring.

  • The SI-200A solves a long-standing challenge in toxic gas detection: adsorption-related delays. By eliminating this interference, it delivers a new level of performance for safety-critical applications. As gas monitoring needs grow more sophisticated, the SI-200A leads the way forward.
